Tina Leong

Executive Director

Tina has over 20 years of research experience in various sectors, including retail, residential, commercial, hospitality, telecommunications, banking and utilities. Her drive to understand and uncover truths on socioeconomic behaviour continues to fuel her goal of improving the quality of analysis and human capital. As the founding member of Stratos Consulting Group, she initiated new methodologies in geodemographic projections and successfully gained recognition for her company as a think tank for retail and property development. The knowledge and expertise gained from her early career in financial securities merits the strategic recommendations she provides organisations with, helping them grow and make better business decisions.

Tina speaks regularly on market research and currently sits on the board of examiners for the Malaysian Association for Shopping & High Rise Complex Management (PPK Malaysia) as well as the Advisory Panel for Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman’s (UTAR) Department of Mathematical and Actuarial Sciences. She is an avid traveler and believes that getting lost is an exciting journey to discover new sites and places.

Teoh Wei Cheng

Managing Director

Wei Cheng embodies a wealth of experience in market research, honed from her time in Nielsen Holdings and Frost & Sullivan. She joined Pinnacle Analytics in 2019 as Research Director and continues to bring fresh, analytical approaches to the table when providing consumer insights for clients. Her expertise covers a wide spectrum of research methods, from conventional surveys to big data analytics and social media mining – she believes that there is a need to take an extra mile when searching for the ideal business strategy and solution.

Wei Cheng is constantly motivated to help organisations connect with their audience by providing detailed insights from a kaleidoscope of research methodologies. Her desire for a flourishing economy also influences her passion to seek and create new businesses and entrepreneurship opportunities. She holds a Master’s in Economics from the University of Sydney.

Johnson Tan

Research Director

Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in the market research industry. He started his career with Frank Small & Associates (now Kantar TNS) and  subsequently started his own research agency (Metrix Research Sdn Bhd) in 2003 with a few partners, which grew to become the 6th largest market research company in Malaysia by revenue. In 2017, Johnson founded Pinnacle Analytics, focusing on market research in the retail industry and customer service training as the firm’s core business.

Johnson’s extensive experience includes the development of large scale customer satisfaction studies, branding surveys and brand health tracking for FMCG clients. He continues to find ways to integrate technologies and AI into conventional research techniques. He strongly believes that healthy businesses offer more opportunities to develop new leaders and entrepreneurs, as a means to contribute to society and the nation’s success. This fuels his passion to guide young researchers in the field, with many of his apprentices currently in leadership roles for multinational companies and their own businesses.

Lim Zhen Hui

Research Manager

Zhen Hui always had interest in exploring the motivation behind every action. With more than a decade in the industry, his experience covers consumer and public affairs research to social impact assessment and communication campaign evaluation. He holds a Master’s in Communication & Media Studies  and BA in Communications & International Studies. His analysis on a local financial literacy campaign is published in the anthology Malaysians and Their Identities. Zhen Hui values conversations with others, believing it provides a richer perspective and context.

Zhen Hui seeks to enrich the corporate consulting landscape with a more empathic approach. His interests in architecture, urban design and hyperlocal culture as well as his motivation to help society has spurred continuous passion to provide innovative market solutions.
